Waste Types Handled by Wildfire Energy
General Waste
When you remove all the recyclable waste, you are left with general waste, which is usually made up of office bin waste, food packaging that is contaminated and unrecyclable materials. Every business, however small, have a duty of care to manage waste in line with the waste hierarchy, which means reducing and recovering as much waste as possible for recycling.
General waste includes:

Mixed Recycling
Mixed recycling tends to be mixed paper, cardboard, aluminium cans, plastic packaging and plastic bottles, and must not be contaminated, i.e. with food waste, oils etc. All businesses have an obligation to recycle as much waste as possible, this is according to the waste hierarchy, it’s important that your business starts recycling as much waste as possible.
